PUTANESCA is an adorable female teenager kitten with dark brown stripes. A classic tabby! Her name (a spicy pasta sauce) belies her personality, as she is calm and sweet tempered. A little shy initially, Putanesca has grown into a social and loving kitty. She does have a mischievous side, using her paws and meows to get attention from her humans. She enjoys the companionship of her human and feline family. It will take a short time to build a trusting relationship with her, but she will reward you with lifelong affection. Born with her 7 siblings to a mom cat who was abandoned the day before giving birth to her litter, she had a rough start. But a good mama and a wonderful foster situation has resulted in this sweet, well socialized, and spunky little girl who’s ready for the next stage in her life – a forever home of her own.
PUTANESCA has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and is negative for FeLV and FIV. Her adoption fee includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. To meet Putanesca in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at PetSmart. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet. The $155 adoption fee ($280 for two a pair) allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, have been de-wormed, treated with flea medication at intake, spayed or neutered, and have been microchipped and tested for felv/fiv tested.

We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette, at Wags Dog Emporium on Coburg Rd and the Eugene-Springfield Cat Lounge. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help Cat Rescue & Adoption Network save as many animal lives as possible.
