If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Hank was adopted from the Shelter when he was 8 weeks old. He's been a sweet boy from the beginning but has issues with resource guarding food. I've worked with him since and has gotten better but will still need to be fed separate from other dogs. He’s been raised around one dog and loves playing with him. When walking he’s very reactive to people and dogs. He will need training to be desensitized and lots of socialization work. When he was a puppy I took him out a lot and walked him twice a day but around about 4 months old he’s been very reactive. He was raised with a 2 year old and loves to be around us. He still gets very excited and jumps initially but calms down. Hank would thrive best in a home with no kids OR older kids. He is very active and loves to play tug of war and fetch! He knows basic commands sit, down, wait, leave it, heel, and safety. He’s a sweet boy that deserves a family that can give him more time to get through his fears and work on his resource guarding.
