Penelope was brought in by their previous owner on November 12, 2025.

Penelope is a gentle, soft-hearted cat who's still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. She can be a little shy at first, but her sweetness shines through once she feels comfortable. She's an independent gal who enjoys playtime, napping in high places and making standing biscuits while she snacks on churu. Penelope would thrive in a calm, quiet home where she can settle in at her own pace and build trust with patient, caring people. With time, she'll show you just how affectionate and loyal she can be!

Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.
