This helps San Diego Humane Society - Oceanside Campus (Cats and Small Animals) with pet care costs.
How this pet arrived:
Miso was brought in by his previous owner on January 17, 2026.
Why this pet is the one for you:
Miso is a devoted mama's boy who arrived at our shelter alongside his beloved mother, Spot #978009. These two are inseparable and must be adopted together to ensure their emotional well-being and comfort. Sweet Miso is naturally shy around new people and will need patience as he adjusts to his new environment. With his mother by his side, he'll gradually build confidence and trust in his new home. To help Miso and Spot thrive, we recommend providing a safe, quiet space where they can acclimate at their own pace. Facilitating bonding through proximity-keeping them close together during the transition-along with gentle, delicate play will help build trust and security. Multiple hiding places at various heights, such as low shelves, cat trees, and enclosed beds, will give them the sense of security they need to feel comfortable exploring their new surroundings. Miso will do best in a calm, quiet household without young children or boisterous dogs. A home that respects his shy nature and allows him time to adjust will help him blossom into a loving, confident companion.
Shy/Fearful Cat: Miso requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them.
