My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Meet Clyde — The Shy Sweetheart with a Playful Secret Side!

Clyde is a gentle, sensitive boy who’s been making amazing progress learning that humans can be trusted — and a lot of that confidence comes from his brother, Bennie. The two are a wonderful pair, and while they don’t have to be adopted together, they truly would make the cutest duo. (Double the love, double the fun!) If they don’t go home together, Clyde would still do best in a home with another friendly cat, since having a feline buddy helps him feel safe and encourages him to come out of his shell.

Clyde has come such a long way. He’s the type of kitty who may start out watching from afar, quietly taking everything in… but with patience and consistency, he’ll accept gentle pets and slowly let you into his world. And once he feels comfortable? That’s when the magic happens.

In his foster home, Clyde really opens up around the resident cat — and it’s clear that he gains confidence through companionship. He also has a hilarious treat obsession: Clyde LOVES Churus, and he licks them like he’s in a race to finish first! 😹

And while he may act shy when people are watching… Clyde has a secret: he’s actually a playful, curious little guy who loves to run, explore, and chase his brother around when he thinks no one is looking. It’s the sweetest thing to witness — like his true kitten personality peeks out when he feels safe.

Clyde is looking for a loving home with another cat friend, a calm environment, and humans who will give him the time he needs to fully blossom. If you’re patient, kind, and willing to let him grow at his own pace, Clyde will reward you with the most special kind of bond.

💛 Ready to help this quiet boy become someone’s brave best friend?

Additional adoption info

For our dogs, we are a foster-based organization that primarily helps our county government-operated shelter with surrender diversion, i.e. owners rehoming pets, help with behavior issues, etc. In September 2023 we opened a cat adoption center that supports the effort to keep more cats out of the shelter.
