My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Belly Rubs lover!

Meet TJ now known as Whiskey! He is almost 7 years old. He is a pure breed Pekingese. He is a super sweet and spunky boy.  He can be shy at times and give you that Pek attitude from time to time. He is good with other small dogs.  Large breed dogs he does need some time to settle in with them, it might be best if he didn't live with them or had a patient owner to show him they are not as scary as he thinks.  He is house broke, and crate trained (although he rather not be in a crate, he prefers to be spoiled).  He will need regular grooming about every 6-8 weeks to keep his fur from matting.

He was first with us when he was 10 months old and was adopted in 2020.  He was surrendered back to use recently due to his owners health decline.  He lived as an only dog and loved to be spoiled and cuddled by his person.  He has not been around cats, we suspect he would do fine with them is they are dog savy and he has not been around kids, so to be safe we suggest 12 yrs old and over.

This animal is current on all age appropriate vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, and spayed/neutered or go home with certificate IF too young to be done. They have also been given flea prevention. Adoption fee is $350.00 If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an application.

More about this rescue

AJ's Search and Rescue Is an animal rescue which was founding in Sept 2016. The rescue is named after our founders first "Foster Failure". Angela aka AJ, fostered over 140 dogs through a previous organization, which lead her to adopting (foster failing) her 125 foster dog (Serchee).

As time went on AJ decided it was time to start yet another business and this time it was a non-profit 501c3 animal rescue. All animals that come through our organization are in foster homes, which allows a new adopter to know more about the animals in many aspects.

Any and all donations and adoption fees go towards proper medical care and feeding all our animals.

We strive to get animals off the streets and into new homes so they can live a wonderful life.
