What is Rehome?

Dallas is 4yrs, his birthday is on Christmas. Got Dallas as a kitten - 9 weeks old - he has 99% been indoors, only goes outside to explore but stays in our driveway/yard. Very skittish around almost everyone. Likes to have sharp claws, plays hide n go seek, has a few toys he loves, and stays to himself mostly. Being indoors only and not around a lot of people has made him quirky.
He eats wet food in the morning, and then grazes throughout the day on dry food.
He IS NOT a lap cat, only can touch him when he wants and will snap at you if he doesn't like it.
I hate to Rehome him but I feel like moving across country will cause him undo stress and my work situation is going to have me traveling a lot and I want him to have the best life possible.
He is loving in his own way, just likes to play fight and only wants what he wants when he wants it.
I don't think he is Child friendly just cause he keeps his claws pretty sharp.
