My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi everyone, we would like to introduce you to Chappelle. Born on April 4th 2025 to Momma Penny, Chappelle is one of 4 kittens from the litter.
Chappelle is already fixed, up to date on all shots and eating Purina One Kibble with the occasional can of Purina One Soft Food mixed in.
Chappelle is very active and LOVES to climb. She will lay in your around for hours on her back just looking at you or sunbathing. She also loves to reach out with both paws and gently touch your face and if you show her some affection WATCH out, she will not leave you alone till she is ready =)
Chappelle is a great purr machine and loves giving head boops and nose boops. Chappelle is also an avid climber of people, she will work her way up your leg and perch on your shoulder with ease, but is very gentle and playful UNLESS its bath time.
All the kittens from Chappelle litter are extremely socialized, comfortable in arms and with affection, and in fact will seek you out for rubs and cuddles. Once they adjust I am sure they will be a welcomed and loving addition to any household.
If you're looking to take home Chappelle AND one of her litter mates, please also consider Patrice, Gilda, or Murphy, she sure does love her siblings!

Adoption fee is $150, which includes spay/neuter, current on vaccines, microchip, dewormed and free vet visit to be used within 5 days of adoption.

Our Vision

To rescue and nurture companion animals with the mission of finding them safe and happy adoptive homes. To create community awareness of the importance of spaying and neutering to avoid overpopulation and reduce the community euthanasia rate.

A Brief History

Animal Rescue of Tracy was founded in 1994 to meet an increasing need for compassionate care for abandoned or mistreated pets. In 2002, Animal Rescue of Tracy became a full-fledged, independent, non-profit rescue. In our existence we have rescued, spayed/neutered, and found homes for more than 5,000 cats and dogs. We rescue animals from the local shelter and work with the public in select abandonment situations.
