Meet Flapjack!

Flapjack is a 4–5 year old, 35 lb Cockapoo with a non-shedding coat, a sunny disposition, and a whole lot of personality packed into his fluffy frame. Equal parts playful goofball and end-of-day snuggle buddy, Flapjack is the kind of dog who lives life at full speed— and then crashes happily on the couch once he’s burned through every ounce of energy.

Daily Routine & Schedule

Flapjack likes to ease into his mornings and usually sleeps in until around 8:00am. Once he’s up, it’s straight to breakfast followed by a 30–40 minute walk, which is his preferred way to take care of business since he’s still figuring out pottying in the backyard. After that, his day is a fun cycle of playing hard, napping briefly, and then playing some more. In the afternoon, he enjoys one to two additional 30-minute walks to stretch his legs and explore. Dinner is served around 5:00pm, followed by another walk before settling in for the night. After a full day of activity and attention, he’s ready to curl up and recharge.

Personality & Temperament

Flapjack still has a very puppy-like spirit despite being fully grown. He has tons of energy, loves to run, and enthusiastically throws himself into playtime. He’s a total toy lover and will happily grab anything he can put in his mouth if it means getting attention. Flapjack is very much a velcro dog with his primary person and loves being close, especially once he’s finally tired himself out. At night, all that energy melts away and he becomes a dedicated snuggler.

He’s fantastic on walks— barely pulls, doesn’t bark, and doesn’t chase squirrels or distractions. He loves meeting other dogs and has a blast running up to them, whether on walks or at places like the beach. He’s also great in the car and truly enjoys adventures. While he can be a little timid around some new people at first, he has never caused any problems and warms up with time.

Social Skills

Flapjack is excellent with other dogs. He’s also wonderful with people of all ages, including both kids and adutls. He’s friendly, gentle, and playful, making him a great fit for an active household.

Training & Manners

Flapjack is still learning to use the backyard for potty breaks and currently relies on walks about three times a day. He walks beautifully on leash and is easy to manage outside. He may chew when bored, so toys and enrichment are important. He occasionally buries bones in the yard and will bark from time to time, but he’s not a yapper.

Flapjack is ready for a family who will embrace his big personality, keep him engaged, and enjoy all the love and laughter he brings.
