Rudy (male), Clarice (female) and Hermie (male) are three 3 month old fluffy kittens ready for adoption! They are up to date on vaccines and spay/neutered. They must either go to a home with a sibling or to a home with another energetic playmate. Here’s what their foster volunteers say about them:
How would you describe the cat's general personality? Rudy is an extroverted lovebug who will be the first to become your new best friend. Clarice is an independent woman who needs to supervise everything that is happening and then monopolize your lap. Hermey is a sweet little guy who is only retiring compared to his siblings, and will quickly find the most comfortable and attractive spot to nap so you can admire him.
Does the cat enjoy being pet? SO MUCH. Scritches, rumples, snuggles for all three.
If yes, on what parts of its body does the cat like to be pet? All three love chin scritches and full-body pets, massages of their tiny heads, all parts are viable most of the time, and Rudy is pretty much always game for everything.
Are there any parts of its body that the cat does NOT like being touched? Every once in a while they do not appreciate a tummy rub, but they are clear and polite about it.
Does the cat come on your lap? All of them will be delighted to.
Does the cat like to be held? It varies; all of them will enjoy it some of the time, with Rudy enjoying it the most and Hermey being least excited.
Does the cat sleep in your bed? They have been in their own room and have not had the opportunity but they would 100% take the chance if given.
Does the cat seek your attention? It is difficult to avoid, honestly; they want to be In Your Business because you are fascinating. On entering the room we are immediately swarmed by little black fluffballs.
Does the cat like to play? Very much!
What are the cat's favorite games and toys? The cat dancer, anything that crinkles or crumples, skittery foil balls or sparkle balls, their siblings.
How vocal is the cat? Rudy and Hermey are almost totally non-vocal; Clarice occasionally has a little something to say.
What kinds of sounds does the cat make? Clarice has a little creaky squeak that usually seems to be a comment of some kind. She does not seem to ask for things. All three of them purr like MOTORS.
Does the cat scratch a scratcher? Yes.
If no, please explain.
Does the cat always use the litter box? Yes.
If no, please explain.
What food and frequency is the cat currently eating? Royal Canin Mother and Baby canned food twice a day (one 5.5oz can total for each over the course of a day), free feeding Royal Canin kitten food.
Is the cat picky about food? They have not had an opportunity to try anything else, but they scarf this up.
What is the cat's favorite treat? Kitten Churu!
Does the cat ever swat (claws in) at you? If so, under what circumstances? There is an occasional half-hearted tap if someone doesn't want a belly rub, but that is all.
Has the cat ever scratched (claws out) you? No, but definitely keep their nails trimmed because they will try to climb you if they want your attention.
Does the cat ever nip (teeth without breaking skin) you? No.
Has the cat ever bitten you (breaking skin)? No.
To the best of your knowledge, how does the cat react to new people? Social? Fearful? Rudy is unafraid and friendly; Clarice is polite and friendly; Hermey is a little cautious and reserved but warms up quickly.
If you have observed the cat with other animals, please describe how they get on? n/a
Does that cat have any cute/quirky traits that aren’t covered by the previous questions? Rudy ALWAYS wants to flop on the floor and show you his tummy; he seems to be happiest upside down. Clarice is going to rule the world someday like the queen she clearly believes herself to be. Hermey is going to be the one who figures out how to escape the puzzle room; that boy is clever!
In your opinion, what is the best thing about the cat? Why should an adopter choose THIS cat to adopt? They are so sweetly ridiculous - with all their floof they look just like tiny bears. They are absolute little love muffins and will brighten any home!
What are the cat's challenges and how have you found to best manage them? Nothing really, but a note on their fur for anyone concerned about a long-haired cat. They feel like they are all undercoat; they are all puffy and fluffy, but their fur is just a teeny bit crinkly and matte. They don't shed in drifts or piles; they seem to shed in little fuzzballs of fur like a pilling sweater. It's startlingly easy to tidy up, and much less likely to float everywhere, but you have to work a little harder to brush them because their fur is not super smooth.
