Young and beautiful – Vanilla is a labrador retriever (think mini lab) crossed perhaps with pointer, who was born in June 2025. She was taken in by a concerned neighbour who watched three young puppies suffer neglect on a property whose owner suffered from addiction issues. Vanilla was rescued with two other pups who are not her siblings, but they’ve grown up as one family. Vanilla is now in the care of the SPCA PV in Puerto Vallarta where she is now healthy, spayed and vaccinated. She would love a family of her very own. She is good with cats and dogs. She’d love a quiet home to adjust and begin to explore her new world. We screen all applications and require a home check (virtual or in person) prior to placement. We charge a $550 CAD adoption fee. We provide support and check ins post placement, and solicit follow up photos and publish adoptions for our community of adopters / followers

PVCA Animal Rescue is the sister organization of the SPCA Puerto Vallarta in Mexico. We facilitate the transportation and adoption of rescue dogs into loving forever homes. PVCA is a network of volunteers, transporters, and foster homes. Our sister shelter, the SPCA PV rescues, rehabilitates and promote sterilization in the Puerto Vallarta area, with the goal of eliminating the euthanasia of healthy and adoptable animals. The organizations are wholly run through donations and volunteer efforts. The dogs & cats of Mexico are too often found living on the streets after being discarded and/or extremely abused. Compassion Knows No Boundaries!
