🐾 **Meet Ben (#32875)!** 🐾

Ben has made great progress adjusting to the shelter and it really shows! He greets everyone with a friendly attitude and is always eager to head out for a walk 🚶‍♂️✨. Ben is very easy to leash and remove from his kennel, and he walks well on leash with just a slight pull.

When passing other dogs, Ben is generally tolerant and curious 🐶. He may show some excited barking and will sometimes join in if others are vocal, and he can feel a bit intimidated by larger dogs—but he’s come a long way since arriving.

Ben can be a little shy when meeting new people, but he warms up quickly with gentle patience 💛. He tolerates being picked up and continues to gain confidence every day. Because of his initial shyness, Ben would do best in a home with older children.

Ben is a sweet, improving boy who’s ready for a loving home—could that be yours? 🏡🐕

Meet and greets with your family dog and shelter dog is encouraged. Dog and cat meet and greets are not allowed.

$80 for all kitten/cat adoptions. $90 for all puppy/dog adoptions. $35 for all rabbit adoptions.

Additional adoption info

The shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with adoptions closing at 4:30pm. The shelter is closed on Sundays and all government observed holidays.

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control is the only open admission animal shelter in the City of Henderson. We service the City of Henderson and the residents and animals within city limits. Our goal is to find forever homes for all adoptable animals and reunite pets with their people. We work with multiple rescue groups and allow any good adoptee to adopt from our shelter.
