Meet June, a charming little lady with big stand-up ears and an even bigger heart. â¨
This sweet 3-year-old, 25-pound Terrier mix is the perfect blend of calm and affectionate. June is fully potty trained, knows how to use the dog door, and is wonderfully easy to live with. She gets along great with other dogs, isn’t a big barker, and has a laid-back, gentle nature that makes her a joy to have in the home.
June would be a fantastic companion for someone looking for a quieter, low-key dog who still loves company and being part of the family. She settles in nicely and truly enjoys the simple things in life.
June did test positive for heartworms, but she has completed treatment with Immiticide and is doing well. She will just need to be retested in about 6 months to confirm she is heartworm-free.
If you’re looking for a calm, well-mannered companion with adorable ears and a sweet soul, June may be your perfect match.
Dogs with heartworm infection live happy, high-quality lives as long as they are given appropriate care. Heartworm infection is relatively common in the United States so we are in need of caring adopters like you that are willing to open their home to a dog with heartworm infection. We think that our heartworm dogs have just as much to offer their new adopters as any other dog and they deserve a chance at life. Adopters will receive all the necessary medications needed to complete the heartworm treatment protocol.
Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for her entire life (up to 15+ years or more.)
You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization.
Her adoption fee is $150. This includes her spay surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPP vaccination, Nobivac® Intra-Trac 3 vaccination, Drontal® Plus, IDEXX SNAP® 4Dx Plus Test, 24PetWatch® microchip, and leash and collar.
Please be aware that puppies and small breed dogs do get adopted quickly so interested parties are encouraged to apply online at www.saspca.org.
Please ensure your application is complete before submitting. We do verify property ownership, landlord references, apartment/HOA restrictions, veterinary references.
Our adoption events are held every other Saturday at Petco located in the Northwoods Shopping Center at 18138 San Pedro Ave, San Antonio TX 78232. Event hours are 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
