Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Xander is a gentle giant, a big baby, and lovely lap cat. He loves to be petted and stroked. He does not talk much, but he makes his demands known: firmly rubbing his head against a hand means “Pet me!” Curled up on a lap, held in loving arms, or getting his belly rubbed, he purrs contentedly. He’s a heavyweight, no doubt, but every ounce is pure affection. Like all cats, Xander wants his own quiet, cozy, out-of-the-way space at times--like under the bed; other times a window to look out of is welcome.
He’ll help with housekeeping now and then, keeping surfaces clear of clutter, so watch where you set your eyeglasses and other valuables. He does sometimes need to be discouraged from roughhousing: wanting to bite and scratch a little in play. Just pull your hands away. He prefers the corrugated cardboard scratching pads, and especially likes the larger one he can sit in. Soft toys to bat around also make him a happy kitty. Oddly, he doesn’t care much for canned food. Xander craves attention and affection and is looking for a home with plenty of both.
