My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Shy, affectionate Kafka is a handsome and friendly little guy who benefits from a little time to come out of his shell. Once he starts to feel more confident in his surroundings, hes a total sweetie with a gentle purr and a never-ending supply of soft, loving head-butts. Sometimes toys can be a little scary to him at first, but in his foster home hes learning to enjoy play time, and hes a big fan of the red laser dot and pretty much any soft toy with feathers or ribbons. He loves to watch videos of birds and squirrels and would be so happy with a window of his very own! Kafka companionably chirps and mews through the door of his foster room to the curious kitties on the other side, and he would likely thrive in a home with another kitty who can be his best buddy and help to teach him about the many joys of pampered indoor cat life. A consummate little gentleman, he has perfect litter box manners and enjoys both his kibble and wet food, and he can definitely be bribed with Churus!

More about this shelter

Richmond Animal League (RAL) is committed to saving lives by giving hope, help, and loving homes to animals in need. Our vision: All cats and dogs are in a loving home with access to the support they need to thrive.

RAL has been committed to saving the lives of animals and finding loving homes for pets for over 45 years. Since 1979, we’ve worked with area shelters to provide temporary housing, medical treatment, vaccinations, spay/neuter, and loving care to tens of thousands of pets who were then adopted into new homes.
