Meet the Pet
This helps Poodle and Pooch Rescue with pet care costs.
Hi, I’m Parsnip! I’m a two-year-old Goldendoodle boy who weighs 51 pounds of pure affection. Like my name, I’m both delightful and good for you! I’m looking for a loving home where I can start a new chapter and in the meantime, I’ll make a great guest if you're willing to foster me!
Favorite Things: Parsnip loves cheese, hugs and being close to his favorite human. Toys are only mildly interesting at this point, but food is Parsnip’s best friend! He’s a clever and curious guy who loves a good snuggle.
Training & Manners: Parsnip is house-trained when let out regularly. A patient and dog-savvy person to help this sweet boy continue his training on basic manners and leash walking will be ideal. He’s food-motivated and eager to please, which makes training fun! He tolerates a car ride and sleeps soundly in a cozy secure place at night.
Health & Care: Parsnip is heartworm positive and his treatment has already begun in our vet partner’s care. He will need to continue his treatment and be kept calm with limited activity – leash walks only. The cost of the treatment is covered in his adoption fee. He is neutered, current on vaccinations and microchipped. Following his heartworm treatment, he’ll need monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like any dog. This handsome boy will need regular brushing and professional grooming to look and feel his best.
Other Animals: Parsnip has experience with calm, laid back dogs and gets along well with them, especially female dogs. A home without cats is best.
Children: Parsnip does not have experience with children at this point.
Ideal Home: Parsnip will do best in a single-family home with a secure yard where he can explore on leash for short periods while in treatment. He can be left alone in the home for a few hours without issues.
Overall: Parsnip is ready to meet his forever family - could that be you? Or could you foster this sweet boy until he’s adopted? If so visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to fill out an adoption or foster application. If it seems like it could be a good match, our team will reach out to you with more information. His adoption donation is $400.
