This helps Rescue Pets Serving Vets with pet care costs.
Luna is a 3-4 year old Spayed German Shepherd mix who weighs 32 lbs. She is good with adults and teenagers! Good with dogs her size or bigger but not small dogs or cats. She knows many commands and walks well on a leash! She is very hyper for a few minutes but calms down quickly and does well! She is very well potty trained and responds well to 'go potty' . Unfortunately she was left in a shelter for 1 and 1/2 years by a rescue that never took her and never paid her boarding or responded to anyone. Fortunately one person donated money to cover her boarding and our Texas team sent her to us to hopefully find her a good home! She really deserves a loving home after so many years ! We adopt to the general public but we also adopt to military veterans with adoption fee waived in order to provide our heroes with companion or emotional support dogs . Interview
Vet reference check is done if they have or had previous pets and applicant is interviewed on phone as well to insure compatibility
Meet the Pet
A meet and greet is set up with potential adopter and pet at a agreed upon location
Home Check
Home visit is required to check the safety of the home where pet will be adopted into.
Sign Adoption Contract
Owner completes an adoption contract and I visit pet within a week at the new home.
