My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Suzie is a gentle, shy girl who just needs a little patience to show you her sweet side. She may be nervous at first, so slow movements and a calm approach help her feel safe — but once she warms up, her quiet affection really shines through. Suzie was surrendered for house soiling and is declawed, so her future adopter should plan to have her seen by a veterinarian to check for any possible nail fragments and to help set her up for success. She should be monitored for litter box habits and may need a peaceful, low-stress environment to feel confident using her box consistently. This sensitive lady would do best as the only cat in the home and may be happiest in a household without small children. When she’s feeling unsure, catnip is her magic trick — it helps her relax and brings out her playful, curious side. Suzie is looking for a quiet, understanding home where she can feel secure, loved, and finally settle into the calm life she deserves. With patience and compassion, she’ll make a wonderful companion for someone who appreciates a softer, sweeter soul.

Adoptions are free and include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home. Adopted pets are vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before leaving with you. To view our current available animals, please visit: https://indy.gov/activity/adopt-a-pet.
