Matilda is a sweet tricolor Beagle. Her approximate age is 5 years old. She’s on the smaller side, probably a bit under 25lbs. We recently took her in, she was in a rough shape but we’re working on getting her better. Looks like she was used for breeding. We were told that she was an outdoor dog, so she’s not potty/house trained. We’re currently working on crate training, to sleep indoors at night. We didn’t receive much explanations as of why they surrendered her, just that they couldn’t keep her anymore. Anyway, what matters now is that Matilda needs a loving forever home! She’d love a nice couch to lay on with her people, she’s a sweet girl, she’s full of life and active/playful. She’s ok with other dogs and loving with her people, unknown about kids or cats. A Beagle experienced family would be amazing!
Included with adoption:
- Vet wellness exam
- Vaccinations up to date (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies)
- Rabies Certificate
- Fecal test (Pending results)
- FLEX4 test (Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Anaplasma and Lyme) (Pending results)
- Heartworm/Flea/Tick/Worm preventive given up to date (Simparica Trio)
- Microchip with prepaid lifetime enrollment (AKC reunite)
- Spay surgery
- Clean dental
- Leash and collar with microchip ID collar tag

Matilda will be ready to be adopted by late January, after she heals from her spay surgery. Pick up would be in San Diego, CA. Transportation could be arranged to the right home, if needed.

Additional adoption info
We set up an appointment to meet our available dogs that are ready to be adopted, with potential adopters after their application has been approved. If the dog is a good fit at the meeting appointment, the dog can go home the same day.
We also offer transportation options when the potential adopter is far away and can’t come to meet / pick up a dog from us. Feel free to reach out if interested in adopting but would need transportation.
