Clash and her siblings, AC, Blue, Freedom and Busy were all born on 8/15/25 at MCHS to their mom, Irma. They are a great family of felines. Clash is now spayed and current on all her shots/dewormings. She is neg for feline leukemia/FIV. Adoption fee is $80 with a completed application which is available at mchs.rescuegroups.org. You must be 21 to adopt and a pet carrier is required at the time of adoption. Our address is 101 22 ST SE, Austin, MN. Take I-90 to exit 180B. We are located just off 218 SOUTH, right past our local airport. Thanks

For dogs, there is an application form that needs to be completed a few days ahead of time, before we are able to release an animal. We review applications to make sure there is a compatible fit between adoptive home and the characteristics of the animal. Adoption fees for dogs range from $95 to $150

Regular animal viewing hours are at the Shelter on Tuesdays from 4:30PM to 6PM, and Sundays from 2PM to 4PM. Other days/times can be arranaged by appointment.

The Mower County Humane Society is run entirely volunteers. The group strives to take in homeless and stray dogs and cats and place them into responsible, lifelong homes.
NOTE: The Shelter address does not register correctly on Google maps. Our Shelter is east of the Charter cable office in Austin MN. This is off of Hwy 218 south - our shelter is east of the highway just off the eastern tip of Oakland Avenue. The official address is 101 22nd Street SE
