My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adorable Scout is looking for a home in Orange County!

This gorgeous, 3-month-old hound puppy joined us all the way from Kauai Humane Society after she spent 2 months waiting for someone to adopt her. To think of her growing up in the shelter breaks our hearts, and we can't wait to find her an incredible home!

Scout is a sweet, energetic gal who loves everyone she meets, people and dogs alike! She’s in foster care and starting to learn important skills like crate training, potty training, basic commands, and how to walk on a leash. She would do best in a home that is ready for the chaos of having a puppy and that is committed to continuing her training so she can be the best girl ever!

Scout currently weighs 15lbs, so she will be a pretty good sized girl once she’s full grown! She’s going to make an awesome adventure buddy for someone who is looking for a pup to take on the world with them.

If you are interested in potentially adding this cutie to your family, please fill out an application on our website!

More about this rescue

Launched in 2021, Diamond's Friends Pet Rescue is a Newport Beach-based 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization. We are entirely foster-based and are no-kill. Our mission is to help as many homeless dogs and cats as possible find loving and compassionate adoptive families.

We accomplish this by being good stewards of donations, inspiring dedicated volunteers and fosters, providing education on responsible pet ownership, and being advocates for each animal that comes under our care. Our goal is to make a positive impact in the lives of as many animals as we can.

Diamond's Friends Pet Rescue is named in honor of our founder's late dog, Diamond. She was a fantastic foster sister to numerous dogs and was a friend to every animal she met. It is our hope that many more animals in need will get to be one of Diamond's friends.
