Hi, I`m Harry! I’m a sweet, sensitive guy who’s been through some big changes lately. My family had to move far away, and I didn’t get to go with them—so I’m still figuring out this whole new chapter. I really love my people and bond closely once I know I can trust you. Because of that, new places and faces can feel a little overwhelming at first, but underneath the nerves I’m a friendly boy who wants to belong.
When I meet new people, I might bark at first just to say, “Hey, I’m not sure yet!”—but give me a little time and patience and you’ll see my softer side. With people I know, I can get excited and may jump up to say hello. Other animals make me nervous sometimes, especially if they bark at me, so I do best with calm introductions and understanding humans who can help me feel safe. Walks are fun, though I can be strong on leash when I’ve got somewhere important to go—using a body harness like I’m used to really helps me succeed.
I’m still brushing up on my house manners, but I`m a smart boy and with some routine I`m sure I`ll get it!
What I really need is a patient, respectful home that understands I’m doing my best and just need time to feel secure again.

The Humane Society has a publicly-tendered contract with the City of Windsor to provide animal control and basic shelter services in the City. This is only a portion of the work done by our organization. In 2016 almost 12,000 animal came through the doors of our shelter and spay/neuter clinic. We can’t help them without your support.
