Here's what the humans have to say about me:
EMERGENCY PLACEMENT DEADLINE CLOSE OF BUSINESS SATURDAY 01/26/26 AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION ONLY THROUGH PACC
Name: Sadie Animal ID: A889778 Age: 1 year 6 months Weight: 50lbs Web Link: 24petconnect.com/PimaAdoptablePets/Details/PIMA/A889778
About: Sadie is a young, black and white boxer mix with a playful spirit and a whole lot of love for her people. At just 1½ to 2 years old, she’s affectionate, cuddly, and happiest when she’s close to her humans, whether that’s snuggling on the couch, watching TV (she even tracks what’s happening on the screen!), or hopping in the car for an adventure. Here at PACC she has been social, easygoing, and full of fun puppy energy, always ready to play or engage with her handlers.
Sadie’s biggest challenge is that she can become protective of her owner around other dogs, especially when food, treats, or close contact are involved. In her previous home, she formed a very strong bond with her female owner. This led to conflicts with a senior dog in the home and a moderate bite to her owner while trying to intervene. Because of this history, Sadie is recommended to be the only dog in the home.
That said, Sadie has shown positive signs in other settings. She reportedly did not show the same behaviors with the male owner in the home, and at PACC she has enjoyed playing with other dogs and has been social in playgroup. With time, structure, and the right guidance, she may have potential to coexist around other dogs in very controlled circumstances. However, any future home must be able to keep her fully separated from other pets for an extended period of at least several months while she settles in and works on these behaviors.
Sadie will do best with a dog-savvy adopter who can provide clear boundaries and consistency while also appreciating just how loving and devoted she is. She is house trained, affectionate, playful, and deeply bonded to her people. In the right single-dog home, Sadie has all the makings of a loyal, joyful companion who will fill her days with cuddles, laughs, and plenty of personality.
Available for adoption ONLY through PACC.
Interested parties: Must visit PACC before the COB Monday January 26th, 2026 deadline to meet with a counselor who will review notes and introduce you to the dog to ensure that it’s a good fit. Some dogs may also require an introduction to any dogs they may potentially live with.
