Betty is a 1-year-old 9lb Terrier Mix. She is a gentle & sweet girl. Betty is extremely timid with new people but warms up & is very affectionate after a few months. She is great with other dogs & cats, but gets territorial when other animals come around her & her person. Betty would benefit in basic obedience training as she is still young. She is very calm & cuddly & walks decent on a leash. Betty does okay with kids but prefers a home with older kids for a calmer environment. She enjoys exploring the yard under supervision or else she may hide & not come out. Betty is a lover who will give you all the tail wiggles & kisses once she’s warmed up to you. She needs a family who will go very slow with her. Betty would do best as the only dog to reduce jealously issues. She is fine being around other dogs & cats but will get jealous when she's cuddling with her person & another animal comes around. Her hair gets long so she'd benefit from getting groomed ofter or just having her fur get brushed & cleaned to reduce matts. She does better with females than she does males but just needs lots of time to get comfortable with new people before she will come to you.

Meet the Pet
We then set up a time for you to meet the pet! We're willing to travel to wherever you're located, but at the shelter is preferable.

Sign Adoption Contract
Sign the adoption contract and fill out paperwork.
5.
Pay Fee
Our adoption fee is $350 for dogs and puppies, $159 for cats, and $175 for kittens. More info on what the fees cover in our fees section.

Take the Pet Home

We help find homes for homeless dogs and cats, care and protect neglected and abused animals. We are working to end the suffering and mistreatment of dogs and cats in Southern California.
