Pepper is a fun, friendly cat who knows exactly how to make a house feel like home. She’s got that perfect balance of playful energy and chill companion vibes: one minute she’s batting at toys or zooming around with enthusiasm, the next she’s happily settling in nearby to keep you company.
She loves people and greets them with curiosity and confidence, making her an easy fit for a home that wants an affectionate but not clingy cat. Pepper enjoys attention, gentle pets, and being part of whatever you’re doing—even if that’s just relaxing on the couch. As an adult cat, her personality is fully formed, so what you see is what you get: a sweet, social girl with great manners and lots of heart.

Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will be able to contact you to arrange a meeting.

Adoption appointments are scheduled based on the order of applications received, so submit your application early! Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions or schedule meetings until your application has been approved. As an all-volunteer, foster home-based organization, A.R.F. Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals. Please visit https://www.arf-il.org/events/ for a list of our upcoming adoption events.

Approve Application
Our application checkers will review the information you submitted. This step takes approximately 5 business days.
Meet the Pet
You will be invited to meet with the pet, usually at one of our Saturday adoption events: https://www.arf-il.org/events/
Sign Adoption Contract
We’ll walk you through the adoption paperwork and collect the adoption fee. Then your new best friend is yours!
