Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Kira is one of those quietly special dogs who wins you over by simply being herself, well that and her seriously glowing cute face and the fact that she understands that the best place to be is wherever her people are. Hello dream girl!
Petite, smart, and deeply affectionate, her presence just feels natural, never demanding. She’s people-loving to her core and has an almost magnetic way of flopping right over for pets the moment you touch her, fully confident that affection is exactly what should happen next.
Before you fall all the way in love, take a moment to watch Kira in her video and get a feel for her fun-loving charm and people-focused personality, then come back to read more:

Kira is estimated to be 1.5 years old, is possibly a Husky/German Shepherd mix, and she weighs 37 lbs. Of course given she is a rescue we cannot guarantee breed or birthday. Kira is fostered in a loving home where she lives with both big and small dogs and truly shines in a multi-dog environment. She has lovely social awareness and adjusts her play style beautifully - gentle and polite with the little dogs, and happy to romp, tumble, or run alongside dogs her own size when a play session starts. When other dogs start running, she’s right there with them, joining in because obviously, that is contagious fun.
What really stands out about Kira is how people-oriented she is. While she enjoys other dogs, her heart is firmly with humans. She seeks affection, leans into touch, and happily melts at your feet or side. She knows a few basics like sit and offering her paw for treats, and she’s very food-motivated and eager to learn more. On leash, she’s generally easy to walk and not much of a puller, though she can be a bit wiggly, which is just her happy nature.
Kira was introduced to our house cat and she met with cautious curiosity and remained calm and respectful through the meeting. We believe she could live with a cat as long as she had canine companions to run and play with so the cat does not become an interest in seeking playful friendship. If you have a cat and are interested we will happily have a sleepover with our Kitty- Committe for a true gold star test. She has lived around children and has shown herself to be gentle and affectionate, and it is easy to see how sweet of a tag-along pal she would be.
Kira would make a wonderful companion for such a wide variety of homes! She is perfect for someone looking for a loving, smart, socially flexible dog who bonds deeply with her people. Whether in a home with another calm, medium-energy dog or as a cherished solo pup, she brings warm sweetness, and an easy joy to everyday life. If you’re looking for a dog who chooses closeness, connection, and will only add to your happiness, Kira is just the one.

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about creating lasting matches between dog and family for long term success, and take the time to ensure each adoption is a fit through our matchmaking process.
At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dog’s growth and we enjoy seeing their progress!
We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100–$1,000+ per dog.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:
