My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zebra Cakes is one of four pups whose journey began at the San Diego Animal Shelter after being abandoned too soon. Thankfully, a temporary bottle baby foster stepped in, and she spent her first weeks safe and loved before joining us. Zebra Cakes came to us delightfully chubby and fluffy, with a few easy-to-fix tummy troubles that are now well behind her. She’s completed two rounds of dewormer, received her first set of vaccines, and will be spayed around six months. Zebra Cakes is a mellow soul—content to lounge, snuggle, and quietly observe the world. She adores dress-up, squeaky toys, and being told she’s beautiful (which she very much is). She’s already grasping potty training and routines and is truly one scrumptious little pup.

More about this rescue

Orphan Annie's Neonatal Rescue was founded by a licensed Pediatric and Neonatal Nurse Anesthesiologist and a Licensed Wildlife Rehabilitator. The founders are able to take their vast knowledge of saving human babies, and small mammals; and apply it to the very vulnerable orphaned kittens and puppies. At Orphan Annie's we take in the sickest, the smallest, the least likely to survive without our care. Every single animal we have for adoption has beat the odds. By the time they are available for their forever homes, we have months of our lives invested in these babies, and thus know everything there is to know about them. Our babies are hand-raised, so they are extremely friendly and eager to be a loving member of their forever homes.
