My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Cooper

Cooper is a 7-year-old mixed breed gentleman weighing about 57 pounds, and he truly checks all the boxes. Hes crate trained, house trained, and obedience trained the kind of dog who already knows how to be a great companion.

Cooper is friendly and social, doing well with kids, other dogs, and even cats, making him an easy fit for many types of homes. He enjoys riding in the car, likes being included in daily activities, and is happiest when hes near his people. This sweet boy does have some separation anxiety, which just means he forms strong bonds and thrives with companionship. In return, he offers plenty of affection Cooper loves to cuddle and soak up quiet time with his humans.

If youre looking for a loyal, well-mannered dog who enjoys company, companionship, and cozy moments, Cooper may be your perfect match. Apply at www.caninecollective.org.

Our adoption process takes several steps and cannot be completed in one day. All of our volunteers work full time and assist the rescue in their spare time. Please allow 2-3 business days for a response.

* Applicants must be willing to make a ten plus year commitment to their new family member.

* Applicants must commit to daily exercise, walks, trips to the dog park or play in the back yard. A well exercised dog is a happy well behaved dog!

* Applicants living in a rental property must provide proof of pet policy from landlord.

* Applicants must provide a veterinarian reference and if there are existing dogs in the household. All pets must be spayed/neutered and current on all shots and heartworm medication.

*Please allow at least a 7-14 day adjustment period for your new dog. Rescue dogs go thru a lot of changes and need a few days to get used to their new surroundings and adjust. Adopting a dog should be a serious commitment, so please be willing to work out the kinks. Our dogs aren't perfect but with proper training and guidance they make awesome, loving pets.

*Our adoption fees vary based on the age and medical needs of the dogs.
