Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Mocha has had a rough start so far. She was tied to our front door with no owner in sight on a very cold morning. Despite that, she is so sweet and affectionate and playful. She loves to meet new people and loves to play with other dogs and cats. She would do great with kids in the home and she listens well, so training shouldn't be a problem.

More about this shelter

We are a no-kill, non-profit pet placement and adoption center located in Ontario, California.

We were established in 1954 as the Humane Society of Chaffey Community and it served as the local animal control for the surrounding areas. Roughly 40 years later, we adopted a no-kill policy as West End Shelter for Animals.

Sociable homeless cats and dogs are surrendered by owners who can no longer keep them for various reasons and they remain with us indefinitely until we find them a new home. The shelter can provide temporary homes for up to 200+ cats and dogs. In addition to working with pet owners, we rescue a number of cats and dogs from county shelters where they await euthanasia due to pet overpopulation.
