Sharon, Sheila, Liane, Carol, principal Victoria, Linda, Betsy, and miss Crabtree are young adult female rats, transferred from another shelter after being rescued from an abandonment case. They seem generally pretty curious and friendly so far. They are all siamese in color.

We are currently open by appointment only to see all the pets, but we frequently appear at farmer's markets and other local events with adoptable animals.

We are a specialty rescue for small exotic pets, such as reptiles and small mammals. We were formed by two women who met working at a nature center. In their interactions with the public they noticed a need in the area for a rescue that specialized in exotic pets, as well as a value in public education. Lost Woods Animal Sanctuary was formed with the mission to reduce mistreatment and abandonment of animals through rescue and rehoming, as well as educational outreach.
