My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Goofy

Breed: Great Dane
Sex: Male
DOB: April 29, 2025
Weight: 55 pounds
Health: Safe, recovering, and improving

Goofy is a gentle giant with a smile that matches his name and a heart that could fill a whole room. Rescued after being found starving, Goofy has already survived more than any puppy should — yet he greets the world with joy, trust, and a goofy charm that makes everyone fall in love instantly.

Still very much a puppy, Goofy is learning what it means to be safe, loved, and cared for. Watching him discover comfort, full meals, and gentle affection is nothing short of magical.

Personality

Goofy is sweet, affectionate, and delightfully clumsy in the best way. He loves attention, leans into pets, and happily follows his people around, often forgetting just how big he is. He’s emotionally sensitive, eager to please, and deeply people-oriented — a true “heart dog” who just wants to belong.

Breed Info: Great Dane

  • Known as gentle giants with loving temperaments

  • Loyal, affectionate, and deeply bonded to their families

  • Thrive with structure, routine, and companionship

  • Large in size but soft in spirit

Owner Responsibilities

Goofy will need:

  • Continued training as he grows into his big body

  • Proper nutrition and joint-supportive care

  • Space appropriate for a large-breed dog

  • A committed adopter ready for a lifelong bond

Large puppies grow fast — consistency and guidance are key.

Vet Care

Although Goofy is improving, adopters must schedule a visit with their own veterinarian as soon as possible to ensure his continued recovery, growth, and overall health.

3-3-3 Rule

  • First 3 days: Goofy may feel overwhelmed as he settles in

  • First 3 weeks: He’ll begin learning routines and trusting his people

  • First 3 months: Confidence blossoms, and he’ll truly know he’s home

Patience during this time will help Goofy thrive.

Why Goofy Is Special

Goofy is pure love wrapped in a giant puppy body. He is grateful, gentle, and overflowing with affection — the kind of dog who reminds you daily how powerful kindness can be. If you’re ready for big paws, big cuddles, and an even bigger heart, Goofy is ready to be your forever friend
