Remember our first post about these three terriers? After the loss of a family member left them homeless, they were brought to the shelter. We had no idea what sex they were or their ages or breeds! The good news is, we have made friends with them, discovered they are about 18 months old, and have discovered they are all males!
Thanks to Bry with Sit Pretty Grooming LLC for offering to take the three in and freshen them up this week, so they could more readily fostered!
Turns out once they got on the grooming table, they were pretty easy clients, according to their groomers who worked extra hard to get them done!
Lion, brown Cairn terrier mix perhaps, is confident, bossy, and has no issues with making new friends. His foster mom said he loves peeing on absolutely everything; (she is using a belly band to control his output). He and his brother Tin-man were smart enough to figure out how to break out of their confinement at her home, made their way up the steps, and decided to make friends with the resident dog who normally doesn’t like new dogs in her home. Thank goodness there was no bloodshed and everyone seems happy!
We are hoping to have these guys sterilized in the next couple weeks so they will be ready to be adopted. In the meantime, their foster moms are working hard to teach them house manners, and routines. We will not be placing them in the same home, but feel they will do well with other nice dogs, and cats as well. we have not tested them with children yet.
PLEASE NOTE: This pet has been posted by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, Rustburg, VA. For questions about the pet, please email us at FOACinfo@gmail.com.
