My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet King - Emperor of Zoomies and Snuggles.

All hail King, a hound puppy with a heart of gold and a motor that never turns off. This boy is an absolute love bug who believes affection should be given freely and frequently...preferably right after a high-speed lap around the yard. He plays hard, loves harder, and brings main-character energy everywhere he goes.

King's hobbies include sprinting like he's late for something important, wrestling toys into submission, and enthusiastically reminding you that naps are optional (for him, anyway.) He's smart, curious, and ready for a home that's excited to channel all that puppy power into training, enrichment, and plenty of adventure.

If you're looking for a best friend who will keep you laughing, moving, and feeling wildly loved. King is ready to take his throne in your heart. Apply now - this royalty won't be available forever.

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website www.savehomelessanimals.org. SAVE is operating by appointment-only for approved adopters.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1941 by the third female graduate from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, SAVE is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit animal shelter dedicated to protecting the health and welfare of homeless companion animals in the greater Princeton area and beyond. Through six core programs of Rescue, Shelter, Health and Welfare, Spay/Neuter, Foster and Adoption.

The SAVE shelter facility has the capacity to house upwards of 100 animals at a time (approximately 75 cats and 25 dogs). The shelter exceeds no-kill benchmark standards and ensures that adoptable animals facing adversity are given a lifeline, a chance to flourish, and the promise of a better tomorrow.
