My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Grace is one lucky girl! She was running along the fence near the interstate! YIKES!! Several people helped catch her along with the Humane Deputy. It was definitely a “group” effort! We are not sure how long Grace has been on the “loose,” but when she arrived at the shelter she was very thin and looked like she had seen some “better” days! We have taken great care of her and she is already looking better! Grace was never claimed by her owners and she is now ready for adoption. Grace has all of her vaccinations, she has a microchip, and she has been spayed. One problem did show up on her heath check up. She is heartworm positive. We already have treatment set up and she is ready to begin! Good luck sweet girl!

Additional adoption info

The placement of our adoptable animals into loving, caring homes and thereby enhancing the bond between animals and people is the primary goal of the Montgomery Humane Society Adoption Program. We focus on education so that every pet owner benefits from their contact with the shelter, whether or not they adopt an animal from us. Matching the needs of the animal and the potential owner, as well as educating potential owners about responsible pet ownership, helps to ensure successful pet placements of shelter animals.
