My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hellllooooo! My name is Fox! I am a four-year-old foxhound mix that was rescued by a kind stranger near downtown! Yikes! I was hanging around outside of a restaurant hoping for a handout or two! Well when my rescuer saw me she knew this was not a good place for me to be spending my time! She put me in her car and brought me to the shelter so I could safely wait for my owner to claim me. Well no one ever came and I am now ready for adoption. I have all of my vaccinations, I have a microchip, and I have been neutered. One little problem did show up on my health check up. It seems that I am heartworm positive. I am not worried! My treatment has already been scheduled! Now all I need is a foster home so I can rest during my treatment and then hopefully I will become a permanent member of my foster family! Do you think we could work that out??

Additional adoption info

The placement of our adoptable animals into loving, caring homes and thereby enhancing the bond between animals and people is the primary goal of the Montgomery Humane Society Adoption Program. We focus on education so that every pet owner benefits from their contact with the shelter, whether or not they adopt an animal from us. Matching the needs of the animal and the potential owner, as well as educating potential owners about responsible pet ownership, helps to ensure successful pet placements of shelter animals.
