Benji is a 1 yr old 10-lb Chihuahua/Yorkie mix who is looking for his forever family. He can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once he has time to warm up, he’s incredibly affectionate and loves to snuggle and stay close to his people.
Benji does wonderfully with kids and other dogs, and he even enjoys playing in the snow! He’s truly a good boy — no chewing or nipping, and he does great in his crate overnight and during nap time.
He is currently working on house training and does very well when let out frequently. A fenced backyard would be ideal for Benji, as he loves running around and exploring safely outdoors.
Sweet, gentle, and loving, Benji would make a fantastic family dog and is ready to find the home where he can feel safe, loved, and cherished forever.

The adoption fee of $450 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Although we do our best to describe breed, since our pups all come from shelters we can not and will not make any guarantee on breed or size. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED! And that is the BEST breed!
*please note that we are a foster home based rescue and we do home visits as part of the adoption process - we are unable to adopt to families who live outside of the Chicago and surrounding suburbs. Thank you for your understanding.
