My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Looking for a co-pilot for your next road trip or a buddy for the trails? Meet Sam, a 10-month-old Retriever/Spaniel mix with a heart of gold and a spirit ready for adventure.

At just under a year old, Sam is the perfect blend of puppy energy and polite manners. He’s a social butterfly who truly believes everyone he meets—whether they have two legs or four—is his new best friend.

Why You’ll Love Sam:
The Ultimate Trail Guide: Sam is an active boy who thrives outdoors. He is a fantastic hiking companion who walks beautifully on a leash and explores with curiosity.

A Great Travel Buddy: Love weekend getaways? Sam rides like a pro in the car, patiently waiting to see where the next stop will be.

Perfectly Polite: Sam is fully house-trained and already knows how to use a dog door. He’s a smart cookie who is eager to please.

Playful & Fun: From high-speed zoomies in the yard to interactive toy sessions, Sam knows how to have a good time.

The Ultimate "Shadow": When the adventures are done, Sam’s favorite place to be is right by your side. He’s a natural snuggler who will happily follow you from room to room just to stay close.

Sam’s Ideal Home
Sam would thrive with an active family that wants to include him in their daily life. Whether you’re climbing a mountain or relaxing on the couch after a long day, Sam just wants to be part of the team. If you have another dog for him to wrestle with, that’s even better!

More about this rescue

We are a registered 501(c)(3) non- profit, charitable organization. Our mission is to rescue dogs from overcrowded and high kill shelters, and place them in loving homes. We also strive to educate the public on responsible pet ownership, and the importance of spay/neuter, so that one day there will no longer be adoptable dogs, euthanized by the thousands in our shelters. We are an all volunteer organization. 100% of donations go directly to the care of the dogs.
