Anyra spent this week’s cold spell in a warm foster home with her sister Akiya, and her foster family has given her a glowing review! This young Red Heeler mix is ready to bounce her way into your heart.
🎈Life of the Party: She is super outgoing and loves playing with other dogs.
🎈A+ House Manners: She is potty trained with no accidents and loves her kennel. She even sleeps peacefully through the entire night. (Puppy gold! 🏆)
🎈Bouncy & Bright: She is a true "ball of fun" who is always ready for an adventure.
🎈Affectionate: She’s a sweet girl who loves to cuddle.
🎈Loves mealtime, but like many smart Heelers, Anyra can be a little protective of her food. She just needs a family that understands she likes to eat in peace.🥰
At 5 months old, she’s ahead of the game with her training and house manners. She’s dreaming of a family to continue showing her the ropes and share her joy for a life full of love. 🏡💘

The shelter is located at 589 Coolwater Drive in Bastrop Texas. Please come meet our pets Wednesday through Sunday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm

The Bastrop Animal Control organization became a reality in 1998. We've grown since then and continue to do so as Bastrop County grows. Currently, we have 3 separate buildings containing a total of 90 large indoor/outdoor kennels and 8 play yards. We have 30 indoor cat kennels. We also have a 3 room cattery, that enables cats to live together in colony type environments until they find their forever home. If you have ever worked with or adopted a shelter pet, you know just how much they crave the attention and love we and our volunteers can provide and their eternal gratitude when they find their forever home at last.
