Quicksilver is a 2-year-old sweetheart who may be shy when you first meet him, but give him a toy and you’ll quickly see his playful side come out! He is very submissive, incredibly gentle, and loves nothing more than belly rubs once he’s comfortable. Quicksilver needs a home that will give him the time and reassurance he needs to come out of his shell. He is not neutered yet, so he is only available to Pittsylvania County or Danville City residents. With patience and love, this boy will make a wonderful companion.

Our staff will work with potential adopters to help them find the right fit for their family as adopting a pet is a lifelong commitment.

Adoption Prices
Cats/Kittens: $75
Adult Dogs: $75
Heartworm Positive Dogs: $100
Puppies: $150 to $300

The prices listed above include the pet's spay/neuter, initial vaccines up to date, rabies vaccine, monthly preventatives (heartworm and flea/tick prevention), heartworm testing in all adult dogs (6 months and older), FeLv/FIV testing in all adult cats (6 months and older).

A $5 microchip fee is added to every adoption.

If you live in Pittsylvania County, you will be required to purchase a Pittsylvania County dog tag for an additional $5 (cash only).

Mission Statement:

The Pittsylvania Pet Center is committed to protecting the health, safety and well-being of all companion animals by working with Animal Control Officers in the enforcement of state and local laws, reducing the number of stray and homeless animals, and providing the best care possible for every animal that comes through our doors.
We will shelter and care for homeless, abandoned, and lost animals, work to keep and place animals in safe, loving homes, and provide education and resources to pet owners to enhance their lives and the lives of their companion animals.
