Meet Baby Boy — a small dog with a huge heart. He’s sweet, curious, calm, and easy going, a true gentle soul. This little adorable fella is always ready for snack time (treats and more treats please) to fill his little belly. Playtime, or nap time (especially nap time) he will be right by your side. Whether he’s in the house prancing around or curled up looking cute, Baby Boy knows how to steal the spotlight. Sweet, silly, and full of charm, he’s proof that the best things really do come in small packages.
Baby Boy can be a bit reserved with new people and new surroundings, but he warms up quickly. So we recommend him for an adult-only household at this time.
This cutie resides at our Wantagh location and meetings are by appointment only. If you are interested in meeting them, you must click "Apply for Adoption" to submit an online application. This dog is currently being treated for an upper respiratory infection, which is a treatable condition but makes them contagious to other dogs. Out of an abundance of caution, until they finish their treatment this dog should only be adopted to a home without any other dogs.

Our adoption team will contact you via email to coordinate a Zoom interview with the pets foster parent so you can learn about how he or she has been doing in a home. After a Zoom meeting, we will schedule an in-person interaction at the shelter so you can meet the pet and take them home with you same day!
