My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to —a happy, high-energy girl ready to find her forever family!

Aviva loves life and shows it with her big smile and constantly wagging tail. She’s smart, loving, and thrives with active humans who can match her enthusiasm. She loves to play in the snow and gets the zoomies when she does. Aviva would love a home where she can be part of the action and share her joyful personality every day.

If you’re searching for a loyal, adventurous companion, Aviva can’t wait to meet you!

Aviva, is a Pomeranian/Husky Mix, is just 9 months old and her adoption fee is $ 475.00 (plus tax).

More about this shelter

The Lakes Area Humane Society (LAHS) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, which was formed in 1989 by a group of concerned citizens. These citizens wished to make a difference for the animals in our community and opened their homes to foster stray and unwanted animals. To help define their purpose, these dedicated people created the following mission statement; “The mission of the Lakes Area Humane Society is to promote responsible care and training for household pets through education and public awareness, and when appropriate, to provide a safe and sheltering haven for lost and abandoned animals pending placement in suitable permanent homes.”

The Lakes Area Humane Society provides many valuable services to our community. Some of our services include:

Ø impounding strays,
Ø assisting local law enforcement in abuse/neglect investigations,
Ø educating the public on spay/neuter programs to help reduce the number of unwanted pets,
Ø teaching the importance of appropriate pet care and training,
Ø providing shelter for animals whose owners are no longer able to care for them,
Ø reuniting lost pets with their owners, and
Ø facilitating adoptions of homeless animals to pet owners seeking life-long companions.
