My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***Freda is currently located at SoCo Rescue in Georgia. She is scheduled to attend our adoption event at the Tractor Supply in Ringoes, NJ over the Jan. 31st weekend. An application for Freda's adoption should be submitted at socorescue.com (no need to register or login). Questions about Freda and/or our adoption policy should be sent to socorescue8@gmail.com; please do not call the shelter's number.***

Freda and her seven pups found themselves in need of help after their former owner could not afford to properly care and provide for them. He'd asked a friend, who is a dog groomer, to board Freda and her pups in hopes of finding them all homes. The groomer contacted SoCo Rescue and we were able to get Freda and all of her pups into our rescue.

Not only was Freda a very good mom to her pups, she is also very people friendly. She is one of the happiest dogs you'll ever meet and simply loves playing and time outdoors. She's a real snuggle bug, making her a great choice for anyone looking for a small-to-medium sized dog. Freda has quickly become crate trained and seems to have some house and leash training as well. She's been good around other dogs but we would suggest a "meet-and-greet" with any other dogs that she may share a home with.

Freda has now been spay, received an update on all of her annual vaccinations and de-wormings as well as being kept on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. She also recently tested negative for heartworms and parasites. Freda may need additional training once in a new home.
