My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Auntie Anne! I’m a 1-year-old Lab mix with a big heart and a very silly streak. I can be a little shy at first and I’m still learning that humans are safe—but give me a couple minutes of gentle sweet talk and I’ll be your best friend. That’s usually when the zoomies kick in… I just can’t contain my excitement!

Once I know you’re kind, I turn into a super affectionate, playful girl who loves being close to her people. I can be a bit of a velcro dog and honestly? I wouldn’t have it any other way. I get along great with other dogs and would love a canine buddy to help me keep building confidence. I’m still working on my leash skills, but my friends at HSFC are helping me practice every day and I’m making progress!

I am **heartworm positive**, which means I need to keep things calm and low-activity during my treatment (not my favorite, but I’ll manage!). The good news? **HSFC covers the cost of my heartworm treatment.** All I need is a cozy, loving home—either foster or adopter—where I can heal, relax, and continue learning just how wonderful humans can be.

If you’re looking for a sweet, playful girl who will adore you with her whole heart, I might just be your Auntie Anne ????
