My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet Mia – A Gentle Young Mama Ready for Her Own Happy Ending

Mia is a beautiful 9-month-old mama kitty with the sweetest heart and a calm, loving spirit. She was rescued from a difficult hoarding situation, where she devoted herself to raising her single kitten—now happily adopted. Having done everything right as a young mother, Mia is more than ready to enjoy life as a cherished companion.

This sweet girl absolutely adores her humans. She is affectionate, gentle, and happiest when she’s near the people she loves, soaking up attention and quiet moments together. Mia has a peaceful presence and bonds deeply, making her a wonderful companion for someone looking for a truly loving kitty.

Mia can get along with other cats who are calm and respectful, but she would thrive most as the only kitty in the home, where she can feel secure and be the center of attention. A quiet to moderately active household—whether with a single person, a couple, or a gentle family—would suit her perfectly. After everything she’s been through, Mia deserves a home where she can finally relax, feel safe, and be adored.

Mia has already given so much love in her young life. Now it’s her turn to be someone’s baby. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will fill your home with warmth and love, Mia may be your perfect match.

Please fill out an adoption application on the Dexterskitties.org website. Then set up a "Meet and Greet" with Dex Dexter at 850-766-2615. Mia has all her shots, is spayed, is microchipped and has a negative SNAP test. Her adoption fee is $60.
