Meet Gracie 🐾
Gracie is a beautiful adult grey girl with a quiet soul and a heart that blossoms with time. She came to us scared and a little prickly, unsure if humans could be trusted but her journey has been nothing short of beautiful. With patience and kindness, Gracie has learned that gentle hands bring comfort, and now she truly enjoys being petted and loved.
Gracie will need a family who understands that trust doesn’t happen overnight. She may be shy at first and will need time to adjust to a new home, but for those willing to go at her pace, the reward is incredibly sweet. Earning the love of a shy cat like Gracie is a special kind of magic. Soft purrs, quiet companionship, and the deep bond that comes from being chosen.
Wherever her forever family may be, we hope they know just how lucky they’ll be to watch Gracie continue to grow and thrive. She’s proof that patience, love, and understanding can change a life. Gracie would do best in a home with another cat, as she depends on them for love as well. Her sister Kiki is also available for adoption, they raised their kittens together. 💕
Please note - Gracie is known to have Feline calicivirus. Feline Calicivirus is a highly contagious virus that causes a mild to severe respiratory infection and oral disease in cats. It is especially common in shelters and breeding colonies, and often infects young cats. Most cats recover completely after a calicivirus infection, but rare strains can be especially dangerous. The virus poses no threat to humans or dogs.

For our dogs, we are a foster-based organization that primarily helps our county government-operated shelter with surrender diversion, i.e. owners rehoming pets, help with behavior issues, etc. In September 2023 we opened a cat adoption center that supports the effort to keep more cats out of the shelter.
