Mango is a Boston Terrier mix with a sweet heart, a little sass, and the zoomies of a caffeinated squirrel. She can be a bit shy when meeting new people, but once she decides you’re safe… congratulations, you’ve been promoted to official couch snuggle partner.
Her favorite activities include:
• Cuddling in bed like she pays the mortgage
• Zoomies around the house at random intervals
• Being chauffeured in her stroller like the royalty she is
• Collecting shoes and shoelaces for… reasons she refuses to explain
Mango currently lives in a bustling foster home with 4 big adult dogs, 4 cats, and younger foster puppies, and she handles it like a pro. She respectfully waits while the big dogs eat and happily enjoys her own meals from her bowl like a polite little lady.
She’s already learned “sit” and is working on potty training. She also has a deep appreciation for rope toys, stuffed toys, and cozy cuddle spots.
Mango would do best with a family that understands that shy pups just need a little patience and love to blossom. Once she feels safe, she turns into a snuggly, silly, zoomie-powered best friend.

Adoptions applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet..
If an adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted. So, in those cases we will post the animal locally, and help the adopter screen applicants and facilitate finding another adoptive home for the pet in your area.
