My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Gorda is the ultimate proof that love knows no bounds!

Despite spending her entire life outdoors with very little interaction or affection, she has the most incredible, forgiving heart. You’d never guess her rough start once you meet her; she is a total snuggle bug who literally melts into you the moment she’s picked up.

She is a friend to everyone she meets, getting along beautifully with humans and dogs of all sizes! While we haven’t seen her around cats yet, her gentle and sweet-natured personality shines through in everything she does.

Gorda is dreaming of a cozy indoor life, but she’ll need a patient family to help her learn the ropes of being a "house dog" for the very first time. She’ll need some guidance with potty training, kennel comfort, and leash walking when the timing is right. ‍ To get her ready for her forever home, she is already current on her vaccines, microchipped, and spayed!

If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will cherish every bit of love you give her, Gorda is waiting to meet you.

Please complete an adoption application at www.pathwaysforpaws.com. If she fits your family and lifestyle, you will be contacted within 48 hours.

Additional adoption info

In some circumstances, meeting the dog and a home check are done at the same time if the dog is ready to be adopted. We do have conversation with potential adopters prior to them meeting the dog. If they are interested in adopting a puppy who is not ready for adoption (not altered, not UTD, etc) they are able to put a hold on the pup until ready for adoption.

More about this rescue

Pathways for Paws was founded in October 2019. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill, animal welfare organization.

Our mission is to make spay/neuter & vaccinations affordable to those in our communities. By achieving this, we will help prevent the neglect & abuse of dogs. All dogs in our care are spay/neutered, given the age appropriate vaccinations and microchipped before going to their FURever families.

We work with rescues & fellow animal advocates to continue growing a network of volunteers and supporters.
