Geppetto is a 9 year old mini red poodle who gets along with dogs, however has resource guarding issues and can be territorial. He currently lives with two other dogs, a labradoodle and a Newfoundland mix. He is very well trained, however has developed a chronic cough with old age which has been confirmed by my vet on 1/17/26 that it is NOT kennel cough, and likely due to his breed and age. Geppetto is excellently potty trained, enjoys fetching, running around, barking, and napping. He is very low maintenance and eats minimally but well. He does not like being held at the hips or touched at the hips and has snapped if touched there. He has bitten one of dogs 6 years ago over resource guarding. My guess is he would be much happier as a single dog, in a quiet household without children. He is a good boy, but I do not feel comfortable having him around a baby or child, and believe truly he would be happier with a different home.
