My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**AVAILABLE ONSITE STARTING WEDNESDAY 2/18**

This amazing boy....
Cyril came to Saving Grace very underweight, but thanks to quick care from our amazing volunteers, this resilient young adult is already showing just how bright his future will be. He still has some weight to gain, but his sweet personality is shining through more every day. This handsome, gentle, and lovable boy thrives on affection - he enjoys snuggles, soaks up every bit of attention, and would love a home filled with laughter, kindness, and cozy moments.

Because Cyril had a rough start before coming to Saving Grace, he is currently a bit shy and nervous around new people and experiences. However, he is making progress every day, adjusting well to house rules. While in foster, he made friends with the resident dogs almost instantly and settled into his new environment within just a few days. He also does well in his crate once he is gently coaxed inside. Cyril enjoys going for walks, investigating his surroundings, and playing with balls, bones, and non-squeaking toys. His favorite activities are mealtime and snuggling with his people. He is almost fully house-trained and communicates his need to go outside by pacing or heading to the door. Having regular walks or outside breaks throughout the day will be very beneficial as he adjusts to his new surroundings.

He would thrive in a calm, loving home with a fenced yard where he can relax if he feels overwhelmed. Cyril is just beginning to understand kindness, and his bravery grows every day. While he is initially shy, he is very affectionate once he feels comfortable. With patience and love, he will undoubtedly become a loyal and devoted family member. If you’re looking for a gentle companion who’s overcome a tough start and is ready to blossom, Cyril is waiting to meet you!

Host Sleepover Feedback: "Cyril is such a sweet soul, his kind eyes will melt you. He was very fearful when first arriving at our home, but after our other two dogs were introduced he immediately relaxed and his tail went from tucked between his legs to wagging. Cyril is obsessed with doggie beds, and his favorites are the orthopedic with memory foam. Cyril did not have any accidents in the house, and would potty whenever he was taken out. He slept quietly all night in a crate in our bedroom. He wasn't feeling 100% so Cyril rested a lot in front of the fire. Cyril likes being around people, and will happily accept all the pets and love!"

Additional adoption info

All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their vaccines, are on heartworm preventative and have been microchipped. If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, please complete an Adoption Application at our website: savinggracenc.org

Sending an Application does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes. Please review our Adoption Contract before sending an Application to ensure that you will be able to provide the requirements stated in the contract. The Contract must be signed at the time of adoption.

Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.

More about this rescue

Located in central North Carolina and officially established in 2004, Saving Grace has placed over 15,000 dogs into homes since its inception. These dogs were from rural animal control facilities with little resources and who would otherwise not had the opportunity to receive necessary veterinary care and a chance at adoption. While we have grown significantly over the years and have been successful growing our numbers we still see many great dogs miss the opportunity of adoption.

We have a large variety of dogs varying in breed, size, shape, age and needs and would love to work with you to find you a great dog companion while providing a dog in need with a loving home. Our dogs are chosen based on temperament and socialization. We get some of the most charming, unique mix breeds as well as some striking purebreds. Our dogs come from rural, underserved areas and while they may have little experience as an indoor family member, they have the temperament and personality that is sure to bring much love and appreciation to their new home. Most have started their crate training while in our program. Veterinary care including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test, vaccinations, monthly preventatives are provided prior to each adoption. If you would like more information about adopting one of our dogs, please email savinggrace@savinggracenc.org
