Tiki is a very sweet and petite tabby girl who was originally adopted from HART as a kitten. She was returned to us this past September after her beloved owner sadly passed away. As you can imagine, this sudden change was confusing and frightening for her. Tiki joined our Shy Angels Socialization Program, where our team has been patiently working to earn her trust and help her feel safe again - and she has made amazing strides!
She loves cozy spaces (especially her igloo bed) and enjoys curling up in a super-plush bed where she can feel tucked in and secure. No matter how cozy she is, she will come out to receive pets and will chirp for you.
Tiki will do best in a calm, quiet home with respectful older children, and no dogs, where she can feel safe and loved. She does well with her feline roommates at HART and could thrive in a home with other gentle, easygoing cats.
Tiki is currently on medication to help her decompress while living in the shelter, and our medical team reports that she takes it very easily. With guidance from your veterinarian, she may be able to come off her medication once she settles into a stable home environment.
With patience, gentle voices, and a peaceful space, Tiki has the potential to blossom at her own pace. She’s looking for a compassionate adopter who understands that trust takes time - and that the deepest bonds often grow slowly.
If you have a quiet home and a big heart, you could be the one to give Tiki the comfort, security, and love she’s been waiting for. Please fill out an adoption application at hartofme.org to meet Tiki. 🐾
Tiki is a part of our Shy Angels Socialization Program, and will require a meeting with a Shy Angels team member for final approval of adoption.
